Saturday, July 6th - arrived just after 7 AM for bass. Couple of guys leaving at that time had their stringers full of trout. I started with a spinner and after two missed hits changed to one with a trailer hook. Caught a 7" LMB on the trailer. Later changed to a plastic worm and square-bill crank - nothing. Changed to a three foot diving bass-colored crank. When the wind picked up the fish started biting. Caught 4 or 5 LMB in just over an hour - all 9" or smaller. One was caught on the fist cast after landing the previous fish - that's never happened to me before. Tried frogging at the south-end without success. Pierce Co. sheriff was also on the lake doing boat inspections. As others have pointed out, there a many stumps just above and just under the water, so I used my trolling motor and sat at the bow seat whenever moving. Left at 3 PM.
