Fished Panther this morning looking for largemouth bass. Caught a few in the 12 - 14" range using deep running plug in front of the lily pads. Plug goes to about 6 - 8 ft and the water was about 10 - 14 ft. Made the mistake of using a net; that produced a tangled mess and I had to wait until I got home to extract one plug from the net.

You need to use a good rubber net. Or maybe a rubber coated string' net, I haven't looked at those.

AMX, I know I need one of the rubber nets; I hear they do not tangle, I hope that is true.

I've never had a hook imbed the point in the rubber. They'll 'hook' around the rubber, but are easy to unhook.
