Had my fishing rod been a shotgun the day would have proved to be highly successful. Unfortunately, I was armed only with my 4-wt and a box of flies which yielded me no success. The recent cold water had pushed the usually active fish out of the flats and shallows, and into the deeper sections of the lake. Looks like I'll have to wait until next year.
