Kevinb and I hit Tapps early this morning till 1230pm. The cloudy cool weather was a pleasant surprise with a little rain that really felt pretty good. Fished hard with crank baits and worms. Water temp was 72. Picked up 2 small muskies in the a.m. And numerous tags by some pretty stupid smallies in between the tigers. About 1130 am got the biggest thus far this year a good 43 incher. I caught this fish last year on the west side of the lake with my wife. This year with Kevin on the east side of the lake. The split top fin is the marker on this fishy. Plus she grew 3 inches since. Put up a great fight and Kevin did his typical great job as the net man.

First time I have peered into the mouth of those monsters. Thanks. I didn't realize they had chompers like that!

Awesome fish, catching it the second time too!

You definitely dont want to get any soft tissue anywhere near that mouth. I saw first hand what they can do to fingers when I was a kid, and that one was only half the size of the one pictured here.

A dozen stitches put the guy back together, but it was a painful lesson for him, and a graphic one for me at 12 yrs.
