Wow what a morning on Kitsap. I guess myself and the one other guy that was there didn't get the memo. The one that said don't even bother going out this morning. There wasn't a boat or angler anywhere in sight. At one point I pulled up the updated regs on my smart phone to check that the lake was even open. Anyway, no fish were hitting the surface and no fish were hitting my offering .
I threw everything in my tackle box at them,adjusted my leader lengths and even said a prayer to the fishing gods.
Nothing. Did see a weasel catch a baby duck and eat it so at least something was having good luck (or bad if your looking at it from the ducklings perspective).

Weeds still growing to the surface in the water? If so I had best luck with drop shot rig only so that when I retrieve my line I have less weeds on my hook and bait.
