Hit the trail last night down by gas works looking for some fishy holes.. I stopped here and there for a few casts and picked up a few dinks. while the skunk was lifted at least, I still wasn't done yet but it was getting dark.. So I started my way back, I stopped at one last fishy looking hole and gave it one last cast.. whammo! big fish hit my shad pattern crankbait and it was fish on.. Got him out for a photo session and let it back in to lurk around some more..

the sockeye were out there schooling and boiling in the middle of the lake every time I looked.. that was pretty exciting..

1 pic: big fish
2 pic: little fish (one of a handful)

Awful nice of them to keep the salmon runs going, those slimy little smolts go down nice and easy for the smallies.

How big is that "shhhhmmmmokin" fish? Looks to be a nice fish. Picture angle has me buffalo'd on the guessing of the size.
