So with my last chance to fish before leaving for CA Sunday morning I had to decide where to fish between American lake, Lake WA, or Angle lake. Since I knew I would have to go by my wharehouse in Fife at some point to get some product for customers I chose to start my day at American and then would move over to Lake WA and finish my day at Angle. My plans quickly ( or should I say slowly) unravelled! I got to the float plane launch at 5:30 and was surprised to find it open and since I had a friend meeting me chose this lauch as I knew I may have to make a quick exit from the lake in case customers called for stuff.

Started out using the same method as Angle with one long line and one on the rigger using the same mini hootchies but since it was going to be sunny, chose a brass and pink dodger and watermelon one tipped with maggots. Got a take down on the down rigger but thought it was off as I was bringing it in but just as it got close saw that it was a kokanee! Of course it saw me too and went balistic and managed to get off even with my stinger hook! Okay this was promising so went back down to 28' again and just as I was making the turn to head back over the the island had another take down but this time was able to get into the boat.

Got a call from a customer of course that needed some product so was able to get it ordered from my laptop but told him he would have to wait until after 1pm to get it in downtown Seattle. My buddy Paul called next and said he was at the launch so headed over to pick him up and we proceeded to catch just rainbows after that with no more kokes and they were not too big. By 10:30 had 6 and since I wanted to keep fishing this day said we needed to quit so headed in so I could get my work over with and get back out on Lake WA ( sorry no pics as once again the wife has the camera in CA)

Now this is where my plans fall apart! Got to my wharehouse at 11:30 with boat in tow and grabbed the product and then raced home to disconnect the boat and head into Seattle to make my deliveries. Got onto I-5 at about 1pm and noticed a sign that said 50 minutes to downtown from Seatac! NO good! so got off at airport way and decided to take E. Marginal way to 99 since I had to go to Pikes market anyway. Big mistake! 99 was closed due to the run so it took me over an hour and a half to get into Seattle! Finally got home at 4:00 PM very frustrated but determined to get back out but when I got to the Atlantic city launch there was a line up and trailers were parked all the way to Rainier beach high school.. Then headed to Angle lake for my last chance to fish but was dissapointed to find what little parking there was taken with people trying to launch some inflatables as well..

So not a very productive day fishing wise but was able to get home and packed for my trip and strip down the Tin cup to await my return next Sunday night! Have a great week out there and look forward to see what I am missing! lol
