The start time was about 6:00am. I should have slept in because I didn’t get a bite until around 7. I started with the trolling pattern of going west to east on the north side of the lake and got 2. Then switched to west - east at the western end of the lake for 2 more fish. I was losing fish at the west end so I decided to go back to the first pattern and got my last one before 9am.
Yesterday I had lots of fish to the net but lost them. So this morning I tied up a Pink Ice with a treble hook for the trailer. I still lost fish with it. I did get 4 in the boat with it.
The fish were on the bottom when I got there and after 7 they started to move up. I was in 45-90 feet of water. All of the fish came between 22-26 feet on the downrigger cable. I used Dick Nite Pink Splatter dodgers with Wannafish A Lure’s revised Pink Splatter Squiddy and a Pink Ice variance.
It was mostly cloudy although the sun did come out and part of the time there was a breeze.
We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
