A great fall day of fishing on Lake Lenore - though not without some technical difficulties.
We fished from about 11 AM to 5 PM in the Central portion of the lake. During that time I caught 8 Lahontan Cutts and my friend, Rusty Johnston - caught 17. He got the lead for good when I had to drive to Ephrata to buy another battery for the trolling motor when ours gave up the ghost - though he was good enough to kick in half the money for it. While I was gone - he hooked 7 and caught 5 from shore.
We used a variety of lures for success - including Mack's Lure Sugar Buns Flies, Krocodile Spoons and trolled FST Spoons. The fish averaged 2 to 3 pds in size. The big fish of the day (Rusty's) was six pounds.
Despite the mechanical mishaps - a very nice day of fishing!
