My buddy Joe and I went to Lake Washington this morning and did pretty well. We caught fish consistently and had a great time. We caught 16 SMB with largest being 3 lbs, and one was 2 3/4 lbs. The others were between 3/4 lbs and 2 lbs. One came on a dropshot rig and all the other ones came on crankbaits.. All fish were in 10 to 20 ft of water and came off either deep docks or rock piles.

We tried many other combinations with no luck. We tried swimbaits, spinnerbaits, Senkos all to no avail. The one fish we did catch on a dropshot we used a White Tiny Fluke.

Lake was a zoo due to boat traffic after noon. It was pretty rough from boat traffic and some wind. Good fishing though.

There was a tournament on the lake and we saw one guy fishing one of our holes. We did not see him catch anything so we followed him through the area and caught our 3 lb and our 2 3/4 lb SMB.

The Strike King 3XD is a hot lure.

It does get better, once you start catching fish on all your new lures. One problem is; "I need a bigger boat for all my new lures." Another problem is; "Which lure do I use today?" LOL
