Started at 9:30 am from the boy scouts end with a few other boats on the water. I found last week that a green woolly bugger tied with a Matquasdurg Quasar Dubbing (It looks lite oliver with a gold flash) body to really be the fly of choice. This was with a silver scale smile blade in front of the fly on a 6 pound leader. This weeks twist was that the really productive presentation was a slow troll using a sinking tip line. The fish where not interested in the full sink presentation even though the fish finder showed the fish down low. The other challenge was to keep them on the hook. Lost three in a row, I don't use a barbless hook so that wasn't the problem. It turned out that keeping the fish in the water all the way to the boat, putting my pole tip under the surface than playing them into my net which I also put under the surface, solved the problem of losing fish. I had my limit on the fish chain by 1:30, would have been sooner if it wasn't for losings so many.
Bottom line fish on
