6/14/2013 8:15:00 PMBTW, I understand how crazy fun they are on a rod and reel (they are powerful fighters, and go crazy when hooked), but I'm *very* glad you are removing them from the ecosystem. Carp are an extremely nasty invasive species, and very hard on the environment. I'd encourage you to continue killing any you catch - undoubtedly there are plenty left to catch.
But don't mean to sound overly negative - a 13 lb carp on rod and reel is about 20 minutes of sheer exhilaration, no? :)
