Been do'n some cabin work at rimrock so I decided to toss one of my CRAW traps in to test the action. Pull'd about 3 doz keepers and had them for dinner. used trout heads/guts in a bait basket to lure them in. I probably could have had more but I think the wave action was moving the trap around some. Good eats!!!!

Curious - I've seen similar reports from Banks Lake. How widespread are crawdads in WA? Are there more than a few places where a newbie can explore harvesting these tasty freshwater lobster?? ;-)

Lake Roosevelt for sure. Have pulled crawdads from walleye for years, in and around the Hunters ramp. Some good sized ones too.

lots of the waters in eastern Washington have crayfish / crawdads. we set traps when we walleye fish on the spokane arm of lake roosevelt like mtngrizz said. there are some real big ones if you run up the river past buoy 5 to where it narrows back up.

Just about every lake/pond-river/creek will have some, Just that some will have more and bigger to make it interesting!
