Our next fishing trip on today’s marathon for JoAnn and I took us to Mason Lake. Again, in search of kokanee.

We arrived to a late start from lake Cushman and only fished from 1-3:30pm, about the worst hours possible for kokanee fishing.

None-the-less, we had some success, only not for kokanee. We ran to the end of the lake and trolled with the wind behind us, and had some good success with the cutthroat trout, including a sweet 18” fish. The kokanee that we did catch we tiny, 6” babies. Very disappointing as I have heard there are bigger fish in here and it certainly looks to have good potential for nice kokanee.

Oh, the cutts came at 35 ft on the DR.

Anyway, pretty tired so this is a short report.
