I got to the lake around 7am and there were a few rigs in the lot. Dzfish was there. The still fishermen were too. Only the green drift boat left before me. Well dzfish did but he said his lawn was 6 foot deep.
First thing I headed out of the launch east on the north side of the lake and didn’t get any until I was getting to the shallower east end were I got my first kokanee. After dzfish came in and left I came back out and saw that there seemed to be fish at about 25 feet in 56 foot of water. I was at the west end. I had been fishing at 11 and 21 feet of cable. My first fish was at 11 foot of cable. Any way I dropped the cable down fast to 25 feet and had a fish on. Got it in the box and circled around there trying to get more but nothing grabbed my hooks.
The green drift boat left so I went and circled around there (middle south side) to get my last 3. I was in 39-60 foot of water. I got one when I pulled the line out of the clip (bottom clip because I stack) and it was just, there. Don’t know how that happened but it went into the box. The other2 fish I got by turning. So today was kinda weird. I did different stuff to trigger the bite. I lost several, too. I got one on the pink spin and glo, one on the Pretty in Pink and the other 3 on the orange/red spin and glo with all of them being attached to Dick Nite dodgers Pink Splatter or Chartreuse HotHead.
Today it was mostly cloudy and dry (one small shower) but breezy. I left around 10 am.
When I was taking pictures of the fish I noticed that one had a porpoise nose.
