It is a rainy Memorial Day but I went fishing anyhow. When it stopped raining the wind came up and it was time for me to head in. I think that was about 10am.
I got there about 6:30am and the lot was filling up. I tied some flash and a stinger loop onto a size 8 streamer hook and tied that green spin and glo to it last night. Paired it up with Dick Nite’s Clown Dodger and I got my first kokanee in 5 minutes with it. Wow I thought it was going to be awesome but no, I had to work at it but that spin and glo brought 5 kokanee into the boat.
I stayed out about 3 hours and I got several bites but not like yesterday. Today I got the fish in the boat. I struggled for 2 hours to get fish 2-4 in the boat. I was finishing my third hour and the wind coming up and the Lord seemed to not be answering my cry for that 5 fish therefore I reeled in my line from the clip and lo and behold a kokanee was on it. Thank you Jesus! I have a limit!
All were caught between 11 and 21 feet on cable at varying depths and they liked garlic corn today.
Nice seeing you on the lake, racer!
