On the water at 11:30 and immediately was seeing fish on the surface (as usual for this lake) began trolling for only long enough to get my Wolly Bugger moving, then stopping to strip it back to myself. Started off a little slower than the past few outings. Got two to the boat pretty quick, then it was tough to find the for a little while. Switched over to bass just to try it out, that was a bust. Went back to my flies and the bite was on by then! Lots of missed short bites..... And just when things got fun, the weather kicked in.... Making it tricky to row my 12ft inflatable around and fight fish. By time I realized I was about to get soaked, the wind had blown me to the opposite side of the lake. With the wind to my back i headed back only to lose more ground... Row 10ft, fight a fish and get blown back 20ft. Pretty good problem to have if you ask me lol. Was off the lake around 3:30 and just before the rain. Had around 12-15 fish to the boat, worth it!

Nice report and cool picture! I was on Deep yesterday too... the only other boat out there. I made it through the squall and the lake turned to glass afterwards, but unfortunately I had to call it a day. Keep up the good work!

So that must have been you working the edges. I didn't have my heavy rain coat with me at the time so I wasn't too excited about staying to get soaked! Good luck finding those largies!
