A half-dozen boats were fishing the north end of banks lake this morning, near the dam, the inlet, and across from coulee playland. Two of them tied up to the inlet log boom and fished power bait; they said the inflow was slow and so was fishing. As of 10:30 am, one of them had landed a 'bow; it looked about 14 inches. I trolled all around the area and caught one 17 inch feisty trout. The personal watercraft and waterski boats mostly went down-lake and were not bothersome. The calm, 90 degree weather shoved me off the water by noon. Water surface temp at the inlet was 60, and up to 63 in the rest of the north end "bay."
