Fast day of fishing, I don't think we've ever had a day when the fish were so cooperative. We limited in about 1 hour, 15 minutes. At one point we had three fish in the net as I didn't have time to string up one when another would bite. I use a two rod license, so with three rods out it was a chinese fire drill at points. Most of the folks trolling were not hitting the fish, trolling has been really slow for us this year, so after 15 minutes trolling with one bite we anchored up. We were the last boat launched and the first one back, most everyone else was committed to trolling.Last fish of Melanie's was this fat 2 1/2 lb. fish, great fight with 3 or 4 reel screeching runs of 10 or 20 yards.Still fishing with trout nuggets was the ticket today. Looking forward to the upper elevation lakes opening on June 1st, we are going to fish Lake Wynotchie as Lake Quinalt was closed by the tribe to all uses. Heck of a way to treat your neighbors, cut thier legs out from under them financially. Since we were the first to fish and post Quinalt regularly we figure to open up a new era of reporting on Lake Wynootche. Tough lake when we fished it once 8 or 10 years ago, ANY info would be appriciated as there is nothing on the internet except our report from way back when.We should do betterthis year, gas engine rather then electric, better electronics as well.Lessons learned at Quinalt may help also.Skier and jet skis will run us off this lake soon, I imagine Wynootchie will also be a zoo, but it's a bigger lake, and the upper end is loaded wth stumps, hopefully will keep them out of that area. Tight lines to all, Bob R
