5/21/2013 10:40:00 AMMost people bobber fishing here don't do very well.
Also a mepps #2 when they're rising at dusk works fine, or a smaller panther martin spinner. But they'll hit the Powerbait off the bottom even if it's dark out.

First time out to Cottage lake. Arrived a little later than I had hoped, maybe around 8:30. It was well into dusk at that point, but still able to see clearly without a light. Bats were very active, pretty cool to see. Saw a few other anglers (6 total) on the dock at Cottage Lake State Park there. Most were finishing up for the day and from the few I spoke to it sounded like a bit of a tough day, maybe because it was so sunny?
Anyways I tried some PowerBait (dough and pink worms) under a bobber, no luck. Not even a nibble. I changed out and tried casting a Dick Nite spoon (green) with a few eggs on it. Nothing either.
All in all a peaceful evening on the lake, but no fish.
As always, open to suggestions/tips.
