First time fishing this lake, arrived at park opening 630am. Started at southeast shore working my way around docks, etc...and nothing. Well, did catch some rock bass on a jig but i dont consider them to be fish.lol. Made my way over to southwest shoreline fishing some deep docks that was more rocky. Saw maybe a 4lb hen just making her bed and i didnt mess with her. Had a nice bite on one dock, rared back and snap, always be sure to re-tie after your last outing! Fished the shoreline around the island also and nothing but rock bass. Saw one small smallie on a bed not worth my time. Very disappointing trip as I have heard this lake is usually really good fishing :(
