I took a man from Rhode Island fishing today at Log Boom Park today. First we were throwing senkos for the old bucket mouth. No action on that. So then we casted texas rigged worms. Nada. I finally tied on my last resort, bobber and worm. On my first cast I hooked a 3 pound or so smallmouth bass. As i was pulling it out of the water the line snapped. I was using 4 pound test leader. I retied the leader and caught a 2 pound pikeminnow. After that I caught perch after perch, with the occasional pikeminnow caught. At about noon I caught a 13 inch Kokanee, i was surprised since I was using a bobber and worm. The cast after catching the Kokanee I caught 12 inch cutt. Got there at 10 left at 2. PS, i saw a bunch of 10 pound carp jumping but i didnt fish for them because i didnt bring corn.

Where were you casting for perch and how deep off the bobber? I was there a few days ago and couldn't for the life of me hook up a single perch. So far all I've got there this year is cutthroats. I thought it had been warm enough to pull the perch into the shallows at log boom, but they weren't there on Wednesday.
