The lake got poisoned again with the chemical Sonar, this stuff says it doesnt affect the fish but you can tell it does. Anyways, I started fishing with a flick shake worm in green pumpkin pepper hoping for largemouth but knew I was going to get nothing but rock bass. I got a lot of rock bass as they were starting to move / or were on beds. Most of them were between 5 and 10 inches with a few big ones thrown in here and there. I decided to start fishing a fly at around 9 am and tied on a brown woolly bugger with some flash. It worked pretty well got about 3 rock bass on that until I switched over to a black pistol pete and they were all over it. The trick was to find submerged wood, they were all surrounding. Cast out next to the wood and work the fly in at a medium pace. I got one decent large mouth at the north end of the lake about 2 pounds but nothing else but rock bass. The carp were all over the lake too and I got a look at some big ones in a school in shallow water.
