First time at Jameson Lake after wanting to check it out for a few years now. My brother and I camped out at Jack's Resort on the South end of the lake. Nice place, nice people and great fishing made for an excellent weekend. Saturday we rented a boat from the resort and headed out to see what we could do. Had non stop action from about 10am to 2 pm trolling some homemade wedding ring spinners that I've been excited to try out. Most of the fish were small in the 9-11" range but about 1:15 brother gets a strong hit about 10 feet from the cliff wall on far side of lake. 5 minutes later we bring a nice 3lb 19" rainbow to the boat! That made the day a whole lot better! Sun was out, wind wasn't too bad and overall it was a great day on the lake. Will definitely be back to Jameson.

Just went over to Jameson for opening weekend, and the fishing was excellent. How red was the water? We figured it might be slow due to the bloom, but we ended up doing alright. One of my buddies took in a fatty 22" or so Rainbow.

The water did have quite a bit of reddish tint to it. Seemed to be much more prevalent in the North end of the lake than in the south end by the resort. Come to think of it I didn't see too many boats fishing the Northend at all this weekend. Bright colored red and yellow spinners with chrome and silver flashers did the trick for us.
