Reports for Lake Ballinger have been a bit slow lately so I thought I would go out and give it a try. It was about 5:30pm when I got my lines in the water and 5:50 when my rod went down. Nice rainbow all of 12". South side of the island pulling a green fly similar to a wolly bugger with a little PB on the hook, trolling about 1.7mph 55' back. Looking like it was going to be an active evening, found myself site seeing for another hour and a half with no luck.
O well, I guess I will be waiting for the Hatchery to make their May dump into the lake.
