Hit Kapowsin Lake Saturday along with quite a few other people. Everyone seemed to be doing great in the way of trout fishing. My buddy and I tried for LMB but there were no bass to be found yet. We used crankbaits for a while and switched to white spinners but nothing was interested. We switched it up and started fishing for trout and caught two very small rainbows. Fished for about three hours and left at 11:30 am.

Sounds like a few of my past trips to Kapowsin. Give bass a good effort and then switch to trout just to say you caught something :)

Ditto... frustrating! I haven't pulled a LMB out of that lake yet, but I'm not giving up!

After the weather heats up a bit the bass fishing will heat up with it ... ive cought and seen a few pretty nice largemouth pulled from this lake. With the entire lake having logs and downed trees everywhere it provides a lot of shelter for bass so fishing odd or not your typical bass sports on this lake works great at times.

I also get tired of having to navigate all the dead heads! I've caught bass on the south end of the lake but the dead heads are far worse down there in my humble opinion. I frequent Swofford Pond and it doesn't disappoint in the way of bass!
