Work was slow and my kids were on spring break. Took my fishing buddy to Deep. I think it was stocked the day before. Most of the fish were stacked up in the south end of the lake. It was good to see what a lot of fish moving under my boat looked like on my new Lowrance DSI. I had seen schools before while moving around the lake, but fish moving under the boat give off a bit of a different signature. We caught fish non stop. Spoons, flies, spinners, small crank baits... Probably about 20 fish caught and released. We didn't catch any trolling other parts of the lake but I'm sure they have spread out by now.
Despite all the caught fish the highlight was running into Lou Smith. He was flying the Washington Lakes flag from his boat. We had good conversation trolling side by side for a while. Very nice guy! I can't wait to see the new map of the lake he's working on..
