Got to the lake maybe a little late this morning, 9:30 AM to fish for Cutts. Went out of Coulon to the south end of Mercer and trolled to the mouth of the Cedar. Made about 4 passes with no takedowns at all. Saw baitballs and fish all over my sonar, even saw a few jumpers but they just didn't like what I was throwing at them. The water was like Glass and the surface temp was about 54 degrees. They should have been biting but no dice today. I threw everything in my box at them. Started with a white and pink hoochie with a crawlwer on as a trailer, then changed to a hot pink hoochie, then a Green and gold one. Then went to a cut plug orange label with a small dodger. Last I tried a Brad's mini super bait filled with tuna (in oil), three different colors. No way no how. It was sure was a nice day otherwise. Probably should have known since when I pulled in to the launch there was only one trailer in the parking lot. Fished until about 1:00 and gave it up for the day.

You weren't alone out there, both BallardBrad and I put in 4 hours without a single take-down. We worked Seward Park to the I-90 and the only thing we caught was a tan. Even saw them finning the surface and sticking their heads out of the water. They are just not in the mood to play. Should change this weekend with the incoming fronts and a drop in the pressure. Tight lines.

Too much high pressure and a full moon to boot, I did manage a couple of fish but I really had to work at it. Water temps are starting to spike and the algae is in full bloom, so we should have a thermocline to work with shortly.

Thanks Guys, Been a while since I posted. Nice to know it wasn't just me with the bad luck. It was actually the fish this time. Thanks for the comments.
