Super windy out...got on the water about 2pm. Hard to troll a strait line with the wind. finally hooked up on a large kokanee about 45 minutes into my ordeal on the southside of the island and out of the wind, actually my 5 year old daughter did its her first fish outside of the trout farm koke was 15 inches and 1 3/8 lbs. Trolled back to the boat launch on highest setting on minn kota just to make head way ninto the wind. My first time specifically targeting kokanee usually I fish wedding rings for trout here and once in a blue moon hook a koke. This time I used a pink dodger with a uv inhanced pink squid 12 inches from the dodger

Did you catch anything besides the "koke"? The only reason I ask is because the fish that is pictured is a bow. Nice fish though.

Yes that is a nice trout. Bill's boat house released a lot of trout this morning.

6,500 trout over 1lb, and JBLM is still going to release their 55,000 sometime this month.

I swore it was a koke when i pulled it out, real nice and silver looking...after I saw your comments and looked up the specific differences online....yeah its a trout, boy do i feel stupid. I had to take it out of the fridge to check, but it definately has spots. thanks though, ill know different next time

Nothing better than a picture of a kid holding up a fish! (Regardless of species.) Thanks for report & pic.
