I arrived at the lake close to 11am and first trout was in the boat about 11:30 on the south side of the island just about Bill’s Boathouse area. Around 13 foot down. It was on the Dick Nite Chrome Clown with Squiddy Thank Yellow w/silver blade. Next, 12:20pm, I was east of the island and the bottom rod...oh yes I have 2 pole endorsement, stacking on the downrigger. Bottom rod with the Dick Nite Pink Splatter and Pink Splatter Squddy Thing comes up from 23 feet down with a 11 inch kokanee on. First one this year for me! Then heading west towards the launch going north of the island I get the last trout on Bahama Mama dodger with a small Bloody Mary w/silver blade. Nothing else wanted my lures all the way back to the launch.
Corn with Berkley Maggots were on the hook. Pink for the red and pink lures with green on the yellow.

I took the water temperature at 15 foot down about 12:30 and it said 51 degrees. The weather was cloudy with portions of blue sky and it got warm enough for me to take my coat off twice. There was a slight breeze part of the time but the wind started to come up as I was leaving at 2:30pm.

Great fish!
What kind of downrigger do you use? I have a small boat and have been looking into getting one, but most of the riggers made for them seem to have bad reviews.

Thanks everyone.
CanoeingIt I use a cannon easytroll now. It has a 2 foot arm. I did have a Walker they sell at Cabela's now for I think $119 I really liked it. My son made a wood shelf for it that he screwed into the fiberglass seat and top of the side. It only had a 12" arm. I really liked it. Worked perfect for my boat.

hey Toni! Glad you were able to make it out and had success. This lake is really starting to turn on and can't wait for the kokes to come alive and make it real interesting. I forgot to mention in my last report from American that one of my rainbows I got on your Bloody mary lure with maggots. Hope to see you out there sometime!

Wow! Right on Toni and thanks for the report...I'll trade you a kokanee trip for a bass and/or musky trip. Nice job!
