Went to a buddy's house out on Panther Lake a couple days ago to try out my new/repaired kayak. Althought I was really only going to try out my new patch job and see if I would even like kayak fishing, I was real glad I brought a pole. I threw a few casts as I worked the shoreline cover, and caught 2 largemouth bass around wood. The biggest was 4 lbs and caught next to a dock, the other just under 2 lbs was near a sunken tree limb. I am officially hooked on kayak bassin now...I feel like I am part of the water as I fish - casting and working a lure seems easier as I sit so low. But my legs are trying to "sleep" all the time. Both fish were healthy and gorgeous, and both were C&R'd. I can hardly wait to go yak-bassin again!
