After being skunk and nothing goin at ballinger me and dad went to green for an hour before sunset fishing the only hight light of the day is when a geese got caught by a fishing line then get tangled dragging the pole with it i feel bad for that bird( ballinger lake) then i caught my very first german trout as i believe it was( green lake) about half a foot long not the big one but this ones a first so that makes me feel better.

I could be wrong but what you caught looks to me like a salmon smolt given the size and looks of it.Google salmon smolt images.

Seriously what is that? Pretty interesting catch, doesn't look like any species I know that is in greenlake. Does look kind of like a salmon smolt though.

Yes i did google it and it does look like salmon smolt but the question is how did it get in green lake? Very interesting.

Did you catch that bottom fishing? Also, re: geese, what happened to it? Does look like salmon smolt, but no way, brown/golden maybe, pretty cool catch!!

Trout also have those parr marks on them until a few years old. Probably just a young rainbow.

Looks like what you have there is a naturally reproduced rainbow.
