So this will be a 2 day report on the BIG lake!

Sunday March 31st~ Easter:

What a glorious day! So with my wife in another country to celebrate Easter, my daughter and I decided to spend the afternoon in the boat chasing some cutties! We packed food, water, sunscreen and headed to Gene Coulon park about 2pm and found the parking lot to close to full of boat trailers but no one in line so put the Tin Cup in and away we went to the south tip of Mercer to start our troll.

After dodging some yachts and pleasure boaters we basically stayed on the West side of the island and trolled back and forth from the south tip to directly across from Seward Park. Ran the Brad's cut plug on one and a whole herring in a helmet on the other. We fished from 2pm-7pm without a single bump! Oh well, what a better way to spend a sunny Easter afternoon then with my daughter visiting from her Disney cruise ship job and to be on the water. I rated it a 2 just for that reason!

Monday April 1st- fools day:

My buddy Stano called me around 3pm and asked if I could make it to the launch as he was able to get his boat running after sitting all winter and was excited to try it out on the lake. We met around 5pm and headed over to the south tip again and was happy his little Suzukie motor was running like a charm but we stuck my electric trolling motor on to make the troll. We ran started with one Brad's and the other with a pink hootchie set up like for kokes.

Had one take on the Brad's but that was it for the day so all-in-all a very slow 2 days on the lake. Talked to couple fellow fishers Sunday and the each had one so at least someone caught some fish out there. I saw BB's report with Tesla so it looks like they did okay.
