got on the big lake at 8 am.launched at gene cploun and ran to the south end of mercer island.droped apex to 35 ft. and trolled for 3 hours to no avail.headed to i-90 to try to get out of the wind.no such luck.it got even more windy and started to rain, hard.as i was going around in circles i hooked and landed a nice healthy kokanee my first out of washington for the year.the boat ride back was terrible.3 ft swells, water coming over the bow, raining hard and blowing 20 plus mph.my 16 ft boat beat me up,my kidneys hurt.i will do it again tommorow.the trick for the kokanee in washington seems to me to be gulp floresesant green maggots,at 35 ft.tight lines.
