Got out with a buddy today that was new to the lake. We got four fish. His went 15 and 16, mine went 20 and 21. My first came on whole herring in a green helmet, his two fish came on Brads cut plug in Black Jack (good stickleback colors), my last one came on double-take, becoming my go-to lure. My fish went back in to grow even bigger. Including one I picked up on Friday, it's been a good week with my last 3 fish coming at 20 or better. Still looking for the monster cut, but I'm dialing it in and sense it will come soon enough. Same areas, techniques as my previous post. Tight Lines All.

Nice fish. Do you know what those mustard colored blotches are from? I see them on the fish I catch out of there too.

I have no idea what those are. Beauty marks? I like that each fish is slightly different in this fishery, not genetically pure, but interesting all the same. I must have hundreds of photos of them by now.

Have you been trying Lake Sammamish at all? Across the front of ISSAQUAH CREEK then straight out from the creek about 300 yards the turn & repeat. 20 years living on the lake. I enjoyed every minute trolling the lake for Cuts & Rainbow.... I no long live near the lake but when I visit my friends we hit the lake....................Tight Lines ,,,,,,,,,,d=^ )

I put in a lot of days on Lake Sammamish, and had some 20+ fish days out there in October - November time frame. After some big storms in December the lake turned over and the water got cloudy, it wasn't the same. Lake WA stayed clear after the fall turnover, and although the bite was spotty the fish were quality throughout the winter. I'll be back to Sammamish soon enough, I can't stay away from it.
