Short Report:
2 trout on dick nite spoons in gold, trolling the west and south shorline.
Long Report:
Got to the lake with my buddy Shawn at 0815 and had the boat and lines in the water at 0830. It was cloudy and about 40-44 and water temp was at 48. We were trolling my usual Gold Dick Nite counter clockwise from the boat launch, Shawn was using a cream colored Panther Martin. We monitered alot of fish on the west shorline toward the south west corner, in the deep hole on the south shorline and also along most of the east shorline.
After a few hours there was no action so we decided to hit up the west shorline where we monitered a bunch of "Fish" and tried drop shotting trout worms for about 45 mins. No love. We went back to the North West corner and started trolling Gold and Silver Panther Martins. After about 5 minutes Shawns rig goes bendo! Great color on the fish and great size to him. CPR'ed him and lines back in. We headed in the same route and on the south end of the shorline and BANG! His rig goes off again but he had to hand it off to me since he dislocated his shoulder yesterday and when the fish went on its first run he almost thew his rod down. This one was smaller but still good color and healthy! After that there was no action and trolled till we were back at the launch ramp and called it a day. Pretty nice day over all other than it was cold. Not too bad for the first time fishing this lake.
