Went to American lake with my fishing buddy Capt got there about 10:30am and fished till 2pm. Caught a total of 4 fish today none smaller than 14" One was about a 18 - 20" pictured by my shoe which is a size 13. All in all a good day till the cold wind and rain ran us off the dock. Tight lines to all !!!

Nice fish, sounds like you are giving Mike@bills a run for his money. Just out of curiosity, did you catch/keep all these yourself? If so, just thought I should add that the regs state that your daily limit on American is 5 trout, with only 2 being over 14". Just fyi. Might see you out there once those silver footballs start getting active. Good work and tight lines.

Sorry, didn't read thoroughly enough. Just saw that it was probably 2 fish each, you and capt. Either way, still nice work/fish.

Nice fish.
gfakkema its not hard to give me a run for the money these days! I need my stupid knee to heal so I can get out there and do some real fishing. I can not even get in my boat right now. I want to go for Kokes so bad. I have been fishing for trout still even though I have not been doing that many repots. I have not caught anything super amazing so have not been posting.

Just curious slacktime I see you were using power eggs but what length of leader? I have been playing around with anything from 2ft to 6ft with very mixed results, just wondering what you found worked best. Some days 6ft is all I can catch fish with.

I use about a 4' leader give or take I don't really measure but that's my best guess.
