Had a couple of hours this past Tuesday. It was rough and got a lot worse (near 20 knots SW), but the fish didn't seem to care. Picked up a 16 inch cutty first, easy C&R. Next came the one pictured, about 20". She was 3 feet out of the water before I had one turn of the handle and fought hard all the way to the boat. I got a moment with her and let sent her back out there. The last fish of the day felt twice as big, but didn't want to come up at first, then it hit the surface when I was 70 feet away, made a huge headshake/boil and was gone. Bass perhaps, but I was on some good cutty water and it seems bass typically stay down until they are pulled up, this one took off for the surface like a big cutty. That's my 'one that got away story'. You see the lure in the photo, no mystery here, it was packed with herring. These fish are holding at many points right now, find the bait you'll find the fish. All were C&R. Tight Lines All!
