Worked at it most the day today, and the lake made us earn them. Spent 6.5 hrs fishing time today and all 3 fish came in a 25 minute window starting about 3 pm. Marked the area in the morning, fish holding at a break-over off a shallow point, dropped from 25 to 50 feet quickly. Worked at them for solid hour in the morning and they showed no interest. Returned at 3 to give it one more shot and it paid off. Ballardbrad's line went tight first, netted and gently released a 2 pound fish. His second came as he was letting line back out, again about 1.5 to 2 pound range hen, a quick and gentle release and she was gone. I got done switching over to his type of lure (Brads cut-pug Red/silver/chartreuse) stuffed it with mushy herring just as he was releasing his second fish. Just moments later it was my turn to get the skunk off. Another hen in the same size range. All solid fighting fish, not afraid to hit the surface early and often, the type of fishing that makes you want to do it again tomorrow. Sadly, there is work in the way.

All fish released today in great health, with the hope they will provide a thrill to someone else. Tight Lines All.
