We arrived at about 8am. Air temperature was in the teens, ah that is cold. There was about 10 inches of ice. We fished about 300yds. north of Jerry's Landing Resort. My mother inlaw caught one as soon as she got her jig and Gulp down the hole. And she had 4 fish on the ice while I had 2, all perch. Then things really slowed down. The sun came up, which is nice but the fish do not seem to like it very much. I was messing around and lifted my jig way up and got bit. So within a span of 5 minutes I landed 4 keepers, perch and a bass and one bass that I tossed back that was 14 inches. I caught fish in groups of 2-3 and then it would be quite for a while. We left the lake at 1pm with 13 mostly perch. I did not catch a crappie today. I catch a total of 2 large mouth that were to big, 14 inches. I lost one at the surface that was probably to large also. I had several fish show on the fish finder that did not bite that was frustrating. I had a few that would charge up from the bottom and stay with the jig but not bite and then return to the bottom. I did something right, to get them to come up and then something wrong when they did not bite. I just could not figure it out and I several chances to work on it and try different things. Until next time, goodbye.
