Went with a buddy out to Sammamish today after some cutthroat. We were fishing around the weather buoy pulling green and pearl homemade wedding rings tipped with pink maggots about 25'. I got the first one 30 minutes into it right by the buoy. we stayed around the same area another 2 1/2 hours staying between 25 to 35 feet and managed to get two more cuts and one kokanee running basically the same gear. The cuts were about 14" but kinda thin. I was surprised to get the kokanee this early in the season. It was fairly good size but had some kind of fungus on it. One of those release without touching it things.

The weather wasnt to bad except for the fog that persisted on the water. Temp was in the thirtys so the heater in the boat was a welcome.

Thanks for the report. I was looking at Sammamish this weekend for cutts. I agree they seem very thin in that lake this winter. The same size fish from Lake WA has almost twice the girth, but catching 3 per day in Lake WA is a very rare day. I've also seen the same scaly fungus on kokes in Sammamish this winter. Seems odd. But I'm glad your catching some fish.
