Hit Eloika this afternoon in search of some perch. Fished out from the public launch. Ice is a bit odd. Had close to 16 inches of ice but it is cheese ice on the first half. lots of water on top but solid. Just a bit of a thrill when you step and sink in the top 3 inches. Spent from about 1p.m. till just after 4 p.m.. Ended up with 6 average about 8 inches.

When I got there a batch of diehard waterfowlers were just unloading a boat and decoys! Asked them what I miss when I looked at the ice. They were going to drag the boat to the outlet to hunt!! That was a short lived project dragging a 12 foot boat knocked the lustre off them quickly!!

There also was a airplane doing touch and go's on the westside of the lake. great to watch
