Just a quick report, or should I say non report. Decided to go strictly with planner boards in the I 90 area and south end of Mercer Island. Trolled several type of lures from rapala type to different spoons. No matter where we trolled we were in bait and what I believe is shrimp. If you look at the pix here you can see what I think is shrimp covering the bottom at 80 ft and deeper, never shallower. There were huge bait balls higher in the water column (no picture for that) which I assume are smelt and/or sticklebacks. Anyway, nary a bite. Next trip will see if we can find where the perch are located. Last time we were successful perch were at 65 ft but since then have not been able to find them. Has anyone found them in any numbers lately?

Also, smallieslayer - I sent you an email.

Ive seen that same presentation along the bottom. I never thought about shrimp? It looks like individual arches (although many) wouldn't have thought tiny shrimp to show up as individual arches? I think I would have though shrimp would look like a clouded bait ball.
Not saying you're mistaken, but I'm glad to hear your opinion and to see the same image as my fishfinder.
