Rain and wind finally stopped long enough to get out today and see where the perch had moved. Had to fish by myself so decided to try one area and stick with it. Chose Andrews bay (northwest side of Seward Park). Took some time but I finally found several small schools tight to the bottom in 50 to 60 ft of water. Tried 2 different slabs and both seemed to work equally well (see pix w perch). Both are 1 oz and tipped with a slim piece of perch about 2 to 3" long.I only fished a couple hours and the fish were moving a lot and had a hard time keeping up with them. Perch are real healthy with the biggest today at 12 1/2".

I'll be out tomorow and may try for some perch if the cutt action is a bit slow. How was the water color? With heavy rains, the lake has a tendancy to stain a bit, reducing the overall visibility.

Where I fished the water had no stain whatsoever. In fact, it was the clearest I have seen all year.
