Heard about the 2,000 plant last week so I thought I would try and organize a little $5 winner take all derby with some friends but only my best bud showed to lose his $5 to me. Hit the lake at 8am and we fished off the point at beaver lake park (the trail to the right from the main beach) with pink power bait off the bottom. I landed one on the first cast in 5 minutes which was very encouraging, didn't put up a massive fight but it pulled hard and spooled my little trout pole a bit. I caught another one, a little chunkier about 2 hours and 45 minutes later and my friend didn't catch anything. Both fish were about 17" and I estimate one to be 3 pounds and the other close to 4. Weather was cloudy and windy/rainy off and on but wasn't too cold. I didn't see anyone else catch a thing but I did hear someone in a boat say they caught a big one and a little one. Lots of action at the boat launch, saw maybe 20-25 boats. I plan on bringing my kayak next time, looks like a fun lake to explore.

Wow! Looks like you used a bicycle pump on them. They are FAT! Nice catching.

Like the Zeppelin T-shirt. I was wondering how those retard-big plants would fight.... Keep up the fishing!
