Took a break from Silver fishing and went camping to Lake Pearigin with the family. We fished three mornings and two evenings . two adults and two boys . We caught fish each time out ave. length 11 inches Largest of all the fish was chunky 13 inches. Lots of little 6 inch trout we lip hooked and through back. We fished ave. of 20 feet deep. anchored and tossed bait in all directions. Most hits came between shore or weeds and the boat. Power bait colors were green / orange, red / white, orange mellows, yellow mellows. Also tried white marshmallows with red maggots, or red corn and all worked. One week left in season. Smoke was only bad the first day and the last out of six days.

I trolled with down rigger one morning caught two fish but there were too many small fish at a depth of 20 feet. So I did not try again. Too much work re baiting.

Driving note Bluet Pass has been closed due to fire and smoke do not know for how long. It made for a long drive home.
