I texted blurock (Brianna Bruce of Livin' Life Adventures) a couple of days ago to see if she wanted to fish American Lake with me, she said yes. I texted my boat or yours? She (sweetness) texted back which would you be more comfortable in? Yours! So we met at 6am to fish out of her boat. Little did I know that my back was destined to get BAD and I wouldn’t have been able to fish in mine. We were hoping to get kokanee but we didn’t get any to the boat. Of course those that got away were kokanee. Otherwise we only brought in trout (cutthroat and rainbow) and even that wasn’t red hot. I did get an almost double. One fish had just been netted when the other rod went down with a fish to the boat. I can’t remember what blurock kept nor what I caught my cutthroat on that I kept but they were nice fish. It was sunny and there was a breeze that started about 10:30am.We fished 20-60 feet of wire finding most of the fish at 25-40 feet deep. We trolled around from 30-90 feet of water. We left about 12:00.

Nice to see Lou out there. He was still out when we left.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Lou is a diehard! I left about 1:00 with no prisoners. Brought in three 12" bows that were only lip-hooked and they went back. No koke. I think between both our boats we covered most of the lake. You could see them on the meter, but no biters.

Those males should be getting closer to turning their early spawn aggression on :-)
