Built a new enclosure for my GoPro hoping to film some trout taking my bait but without a laptop on the boat it's impossible to make needed adjustments in the field so the footage was a waste. The fishing was alright, the bite was very stead from 7am to 2pm. I spent most of the day across from twin pines in about 45' of water. The fish were heavy here and would bite a spoon 1/4 as large as them... i.e. they were about 8" trout. After a few hours of tinkering with the video I decided it was time to get some fish and head home. Went up the lake just a bit to Tree #11 and parked it about 50' from shore. Dropped my trusty favorite bait (yellow garlic marshmallows) to the bottom, them up a few turns, and wham... easy pickings. I ended up only keeping what I would eat tonight... a single 12" plant.
