i gave this a three because me and my girl had some fun. we were trolling near the I-90 bridge and was having no luck until the depth finder showed a lone fish at 118 ft. I only had enough line on my trout rod to go 113 feet deep, but I think it was enough. After about 5 minutes of changing depth I got a pull on the tip and noticed it was bobbing, so i took grasp. Now I am not quite sure what it was because the downrigger cable led to my demise, BUT IT PULLED ( probably some kind of salmon ) anyways I broke off and me and my lady were smiling. OH yeah i did snag on some thing at 70 ft. and it took my whole set up before the fish , anyways see you'll on the river tomorrow.

I'm betting that you ran into 1 of the anchor cables when you lost all your gear. If you keep the required 100 yards distance from the bridge you'll never snag up on them. Also the southwest side has some submerged floats for the seafair setup that find a lot of gear as well.

i was pretty far from the bridge , so I do not think it was an anchor cable. Submerged floats is something I have no idea about , but was probably the culprit . one thing i forgot to mention is the handle on my cannon mini lake troll snapped as soon as I started bringing up the three pound weight it had, and the reel was brand new just replaced 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the info g-man tight lines.
