Got to the lake around 6pm. Used a bobber and warm and drifted from the cove on the south end. Not a bite. Trolled from the cove to nearly the south end. Hooked onto a nice trout, maybe 13". Set up 2 poles and trolled back. Used pink and green power eggs with a crawler. The sun was setting and the moon was rising, maybe around 7:30. I would drop my line and the fish would hit before I got the bale closed. One hit real hard. It was fun. Would have been easier if I had an extra person, a real boat, or even a motor. I troll using a raft and 1 paddle so it can get tricky at times :) pictures to come. Anyways ended up with 1 cutthroat 14" and 3 rainbow 13", 15", 19"

Side note: About 3 weeks ago I got 2 what I think were kok's not sure, on separate occasions. Maybe about 2-3 lbs. One was 16" the other 19" and fatties

Anyways a few of the fish I have been catching have had green like tags on their fins. I have no idea what that means.

Hey oracle, typically the tags are part of a research program. The ones I've seen have 2 different numbers on them. One number is the fish number & the other is a phone number of whoever is conducting the research. They like to know the size of fish and when caught. I don't know about this lake but, often times there are rewards for turning in information!!!! Also, it is fun to learn about when the fish was tagged and the size at the time of tagging.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info. These tags didnot have any numbers or letters. It was Just a knotted pice of plastic like string with green fibers on it, much to small to have any markings. Would you know who I should call to tell about the tagged fish

I'd start with WDFW and see what they say. The tags I'm familiar with are about 1/16th inch diameter, hard plastic that is over mono that ends in a "T" shape similar to clothing tags. Sounds like yours are different style. Good luck!

right about dusk is the best time out there. i went out yesterday and didnt get anything for the first couple hours and then as soon as the sun sets behind the trees the fish get going. be careful out there in your raft. the locals have no regard for fisherman out there. i was coming up to the boat launch and was almost sank by a guy towing a skier behind him in the channel leading up to the boat launch. the guy comes hauling ass in the shallow water and has the nerve to give me a wave while he almost sinks my friend dog and me.
